Chinese Face Reading Appointment FAQ
What happens during a Chinese face reading appointment?
Chinese face reading, also called Mian Xiang, is a classical branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that interprets the face as a map of a person’s constitution, vitality, and internal balance.
By observing facial structure, skin tone, and expression, it is used to understand how the Five Elements and the Three Treasures—Jing, Qi, and Shen—may be expressing themselves in the body.
What happens during a Chinese face reading appointment?
During a Chinese face reading appointment, Daisy analyzes your facial structure and visible markers through the lens of Mian Xiang and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The session is used to identify Five Element patterns, constitutional tendencies, and observations related to vitality and temperament.
For virtual sessions, you will send four close-up photos in natural light before meeting live with Daisy to review the reading and discuss your questions.
How should I prepare for my face reading session?
To prepare for your face reading session, please attend with a clean face, without heavy makeup or digital filters, and make sure your hair is fully off your face and tucked behind your ears.
At least 48 hours before your appointment, send Daisy four close-up photos in natural light: a front-facing smiling photo, a front-facing neutral photo, a right profile with the ear visible, and a left profile with the ear visible. This helps provide the clearest foundation for an accurate reading.
Should I come without makeup for a face reading appointment?
Yes. For the most accurate face reading, you should come without makeup and avoid digital filters. A clean face allows Daisy to observe natural skin tone, facial color, texture, and other visible markers more clearly through the lens of Mian Xiang and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Your hair should also be fully off your face and tucked behind your ears so the facial structure can be seen clearly.
Is Chinese face reading the same as a medical diagnosis?
No. Chinese face reading is not the same as a medical diagnosis. It is a traditional observational method within Mian Xiang and Traditional Chinese Medicine that looks at facial features and visible markers to better understand constitution, tendencies, and patterns of balance or imbalance. It is intended to provide insight and wellness guidance, not to diagnose, treat, or replace medical care from a licensed healthcare provider.
Can I ask questions during my appointment?
Yes. You are welcome to ask questions during your appointment, and Daisy will address them as time allows within the session.
The reading is designed to be interactive, so along with the facial assessment, there is space to discuss what is being observed and how it relates to your constitution, current patterns, and overall wellness guidance..
